1 Kings 8-9

1 Kings
8.26  let Your Word come true...  Now that is the essence of a good prayer.
8.30  toward this place...  sounds a bit odd to my New Testament gentile ears.
8.38  when each one knows the plague of his own heart...  Now that one will preach and give pause for reflection.
8.41-43  I would like to hear this one preached at a mission's conference.
8:56  the LORD, who has given peace...  I wonder if we are not sometimes so frazed and incredibly busy that we have completely given up on peace.
8:58  that He may incline our hearts to Himself...  This is probably the most practical part of this long prayer in regards to our personal walk.  It speaks to our lack of motivation and laziness toward God.  The practical ramifications of this holy inclination is to walk in all His ways and keep His ...

     1) to stretch out
     2) to spread out
     3) to turn, incline, influence, bend down, hold out, extend, thrust aside, thrust away
9.5  establish your throne...  It seems that the establishment of David's throne would have included Solomon's throne too, so this is a little puzzling.  Its something to research sometime.
