John 6
6.11 as much as they wanted... No limited supplies in miracles.
6.15 take him by force to make Him king... This is a bit of an oxymoron. Doesn't taking someone by force go against the whole concept of what a king is? :o)
6.21 Then they were glad...
6.30 What sign will you perform? This is an astounding question in light of the feeding of the five thousand that had taken place the day before.
6.68 to whom shall we go... Just as true today. Nobody or nothing else can as the old spiritual says, "do me like Jesus."
This is a parking place for teaching notes, resource materials and record of some of my reading and reflecting. When I read, sometimes I record insights but more often make note of questions and curiosities.

Mon 100412 pm Jn 4-5
John 4
4.10 If you knew the gift of God... This is the God part in a person coming to Christ.
4.12 our father Jacob... This is a curious statement. I somehow wonder if Jews would consider themselves to have a common heritage with the Samaritans.
4.39-42 because of the woman's testimony ... we have heard for ourselves, and we know... They seem to have gone from warming up from her fire to having their own.
4.46 It is easy to forget this story is in this chapter because the woman at the well story overshadows it in our minds.
.
John 5
5.10 The man who healed me, that man said... I wonder if our lack of obedience is due, in part, to the fact that we have forgotten that we have been "healed?"
5.18 making himself equal with God...
5.39 We must be careful of letting the study of Scripture distract us from the God they speak of.
5.45 Moses on whom you have set your hope... Trusted in him instead of Christ, but missed his testimony about Christ. Go figure.

Sat 100410 Ez 39&49 Jn 3
Ezekiel 39 (again)
Against Gog (again)
39.11 give Gog a place for burial in Israel... Even translated into English, the word craft is still superb.
39.17&19 a sacrificial feast... (of Gog and mulitude corpses for the animals) This is an intriguing phrase.
39.26 forget their shame and all the treachery... I can identify with this in regards to slavery in the US or the holicaust in Germany. It was such an awful time I don't even want to think about it (but still need to remember.) Here they will finally be able to forget. How sweet!
39.27 vindicate my holiness in the sight of many nations...
.
Ezekiel 49
49.8 sanctuary in the midst... right where it belongs
49.35 from that time on... Not having to worry about ever doing the whole 2 Kings thing again is truly peace.
.
John 3
3.15 as Moses... a context for this verse that seems to be often ignored
3.19 people loved darkness... How tragic and true.
3.22 John and Jesus baptizing in the same area must have been a little weird.
3.30 I must decrease... Not the normal desired career development.
