Psalm 41

Psalm
41.4  I have sinned against you... I'm sure there is something more here tahn meets the first glance, but this seems like an unexpected turn in this psalm.
41.10  that I may repay them...  These statements just don't sound right to my ear even though the comments on this verse by Constable are helpful.
"David had asked God to restore his health so he might repay his enemies. This may seem to be an unworthy motive in view of the Lord Jesus’ instruction to love our enemies and do them good (Matt. 5:44). However, individuals in David’s time who opposed the Lord’s anointed king were opposing the Lord. The king was God’s agent of judgment in Israel. This situation has no direct parallel in the church." --Thomas Constable
