1 Chronicles 17

17.2  for God is with you...  I wonder what this means in light of verse three.  It is puzzling that he would so glibly (or so it seems) give David the okay from God without any real thought or seeking the Lord.
17.16  went in and sat before the LORD...  This may be the only place in the Bible that talks about someone sitting before the LORD.
17.21  The one nation on earth who you went to redeem...  Israel does hold a unique place before God.
17.24  that Your name may be magnified forever...  God's glory is woven into David's hope for his legacy.  He wanted to be the vehicle for God to glorify Himself.
17.24  before you...  This phrase strikes me every time I notice it.
